Deposit Policy & Requirements

Your International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your local driver’s license
Your passport
Booking & Payments
Rental reservations are confirmed with a partial payment made online via Online Booking using a credit or debit card.
The remaining balance is due in cash upon pickup. If you prefer to pay by card on-site, a 5% processing fee applies. Note: We do not have a physical card terminal; card payments are processed online.
International Card Usage & Pre-payment
Some overseas banks may block transactions, require phone-based OTP verification, or impose limits on transaction amounts when cards are used abroad. We kindly ask customers to confirm with their bank in advance.
To ensure a smooth and hassle-free pickup process, the security deposit can be paid online a few days prior to your arrival in Taiwan. This allows you to verify your card’s international compatibility and resolve any bank authorization issues while still in your home country.

125cc Scooters
5,000 NTD (~$158 USD)
Standard security deposit for city scooters.
155cc Scooters
10,000 NTD (~$316 USD)
Required for high-performance models.
250cc+ Bikes
25,000 NTD (~$790 USD)
Required for large-displacement motorcycles.
Refund Process
Deposits are held by the FunNow Platform (official payment provider) solely for traffic violations. I do not hold the deposit in person and do not have access to your card details. It is returned one month after the rental ends.
Delays are very rare, but if one occurs, I can communicate with FunNow on your behalf. Please note that due to privacy policies, FunNow cannot disclose your personal card information or refund details to me; they will only email refund info directly to the customer if your bank requires it.
Important Note
The deposit will only be refunded once all violation fees have been fully paid. We cannot partially deduct charges from the held deposit.
